Generates a new single-use identity-confirmation token for the specified auth method record and queues an email containing that token for delivery to the auth method's associated email address. Use this to re-send the verification email when the original link expired, was lost, or never arrived. The target auth method must exist and must not already be verified — if it has already been verified, the request is rejected with a 409 instead of sending another email. Email delivery is asynchronous: a successful 200 response only confirms the verification job was queued, not that the email has been delivered.Requires a JWT bearer token, so the caller must already be authenticated. This is typically called right after an identity adds or updates an email address, or when a user explicitly asks to resend a verification email.
